was a most informative book. I learned so much and have since passed

A wonderful life story
of a girl growing up in Cuba during the early Castro years before she
and her family left their homeland and emigrated to the US. A sad and
inspiring account of everyday life in the communist dictatorship. The
writing style is engaging and places you on the beautiful island midst
the warm relationships among people. If you ever wanted to know what it
is like to live in Cuba, this is the book to read.
