I still remember the veterans funerals (War of Independence) processions going down Fomento. Every one came out of their houses to see and hear the march. I remember the trombones and the solemn march behind the hearse. It was the saddest and yet the most beautiful march. Everything they fought and died for was taken away by Fidel.
