MEMORIAL DAY

Memorial Day is a day to remember those who died at war defending liberty and freedom.  From the Civil War to foreign wars we honor our fallen American soldiers.

Approximately thirty seven soldiers died defending South Korea from the claws of communism.  More than fifty thousand died in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

Memorial Day is not the day to say "Happy Memorial Day" to any one, instead it is a day to say have a blessed and peaceful Memorial Day. Stop at any cemetery and say "thank you" to a soldier who, to you, is unknown but who was a son, a father, a brother or a friend to someone long ago and not so long ago.

Consider turning the radio off.  Rejoice in the company of family and friends.
